Start. One of Etna Experience’s expert naturalistic guides will pick you up at 9:00 a.m. from your hotel in Catania or from an agreed meeting point, to take you aboard one of our 8-seater vehicles (jeep or minivan).
Local products. Your guide will lead you to discover the beautiful city of Zafferana Etnea, repeatedly touched by the lava of Etna and which has become the Sicilian capital of honey. Just in front of the famous 1992 lava flow you’ll taste some local honey, olive oil and others products, directly from the local producers.
First winery. After that, at about 11.00/11.30 AM you will get to the first winery, where you will start with the Etna Wine tasting; also, you will have an aperitif based on local products. Next, during a walk through the vineyards, you will learn about their production.
Lunch in an Etna winery. So you will visit the second winery, where you will enjoy a full lunch with fresh and local products. An appetizer (cheeses, salami, olives, fresh bread and so on), a first dish and a second, all combined with 3 Etna Doc wines (one white and two reds).
Visit the vineyeards. After lunch you will visit the vineyards, so you can explore the interesting world of the natural wine. The expert winemakers and / or sommeliers will take you behind the scenes of the universe of Etna wine.
Come back. The Food and Wine Tasting Tour of Etna will finish at 5:30/6:00 p.m., when you will come back to Catania.
