Mt. Etna tour hiking. Your guide will lead you to discover the secrets of the highest active volcano of Europe. He will introduce you to the fascinating volcanic phenomena, walking through ancient woods, on old craters and unique lava formation. You’ll hike for 1,5h-2 hours at 2000 mt.

Volcanic cave. You will visit a volcanic cave using the equipment provided from us (helmets and torches).  Our expert guide will introduce you, with some basic information of speleology, to the fascinating phenomena often related to eruptions. You’ll discover traditions and uses about a magnificent volanic tube!

In case of heavy snow and/or ice or in case of unordinary natural events, the visit may be cancelled for safety reasons.

Third stop

Lunch. Then, you will stop by a winery in the Etnean city of Linguaglossa, where you will taste an authentic typical Sicilian lunch made from fresh local products. Every course will be paired with a matching Mount Etna wine, each rigorously DOP-labelled and locally produced (vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options available upon request).

Fourth stop

The city of Taormina. You will visit the historical center of Taormina. Our guide will bring you to Porta Messina, then by strolling along Corso Umberto, you will admire Palazzo Corvaia and Santa Caterina church. Finally you will visit the Greek theater, from which you will be able to have an astonishing view of the Ionic shore, with our beautiful mountain which dominate the landscape. Our guide will give you information and tips about Taormina before the visit. You’ll have also the opportunity to use a paper guide and a map.
